Symptoms of Failing Scaling: Bottlenecks, Chaos and the Wizard of Oz

For the last few years, I have been in organizations trying to scale Scrum using LeSS and SAFe. I have yet to experience a place where scaling enables delivery as effectively as a handful of teams working independently can.

Nowadays, I ask myself more and more, “Does worthwhile scaling only exist over the rainbow?” Are we walking down a yellow brick road trying to find the Wizard of Oz to solve all of our problems?
