Do we need to fight fire with fire?

Can you be Belle winning the heart of the power-hungry company before all petals have fallen off?

Can you turn a traditional, power-hungry, controlling company into an Agile one using Agile principles? Or should you take advantage of existing power structures, play power games, and use the existing line of command to realize necessary changes? To fight fire with fire?
